Hi!
Some long time visitors to this blog may remember that WAY back in 2013, I posted a digital painting that I'd done using a photo reference of a young woman I had found on-line.
When I did that original version I stayed fairly close the pose she was in in that pic—but created my own background, changed her clothing and hair, and added a head-piece.
--------------------
Recently, I decided to revisit that image—and reworked the figure—making her appear thinner and changing the position of her arms—and also making some other adjustments to the background elements, color, and so on.
Just today, I put the final touches on this updated painting—and wanted to share the updated version with you here.
I call this one, "Almost Home"—and I'm more than willing to admit the influence of the late painter Frank Frazetta on it.

What a lovely picture Jephyr, you are very good at digital painting. The lady reminds me of a North American Indian, I don't know if I am wrong.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Brenda. I do love to create art. :) I can certainly see what you mean about her look—and since I've spent so much time in the western U.S.A. I'm sure that influence is in my work. Thanks again
DeleteJust looked at your photos Jephyr, your pussycat Sashta was beautiful. We are avid cat lovers and have a rescue cat that is about 12 years old.
ReplyDeleteThank you for looking at my photography, Brenda. If I didn't say that with her pic—Shasta lived to be 19 years old—and we were VERY bonded. I miss her so much. She and my other cat, Maxwell (a tuxedo kitty) were both rescues too. I like all animals but LOVE cats and think "cat-people" like you all are awesome too. :)
